Welcome
The Covington family enjoys values-aligned charitable giving and investing. Charities with tangible, direct help to people in need. Business investments in securities, private equity, real estate, oil & gas and occasionally venture capital. The investment philosophy is based on fundamentals consistent with Buffett and Munger. Here are some of the core values that matter most:
Integrity
The handshake is the deal. Honesty, authenticity and follow-through are foundational requirements. Integrity is more than honesty of words and action. Integrity is a lived-out excellence in all details. Example: Veritas Forum
Strategy
Focusing on special teams with clear differentiation - people humbly committed to their craft. Philanthropy begins with local church and includes outreach to people around the world. The family has a heart for students, young people and early-career adults, especially helping them find their calling. US war-fighters and their families also hold special significance. Examples: Navy Seal Foundation, International Justice Mission
Growth
Emphasizing growth and flourishing of individuals, teams and organizations. The Covingtons look for ways to come alongside existing organizations to continue to build progress and hope. Growth involves hard work and optimism toward a better future. Every individual is embued with immeasurable value by God. Example: Global Human Flourishing Program
